Unify Financial Advisors Weekly Market Update
Volatility remained the theme in the markets last week as equities faced sharp midweek declines before a partial recovery on Friday. Despite the rebound, major U.S. indexes finished in negative territory. The S&P 500 ended the week down 1.95%.
Economic updates were mixed. The delayed September jobs report showed stronger than expected job gains alongside a rise in unemployment, reinforcing uncertainty around the Federal Reserve’s future path for interest rates.
